OVERVIEW: Finding the right place and dish to eat when dining out can be a difficult task as consumers are bombarded with numerous options and often lack key information. TopDish simplifies the discovery of great food and provides personalized recommendations. Currently, there are 130M daily food patrons in the US, and restaurant and bar sales are projected to be at a 4 year high of $420B this year. Additionally there are niche markets (Vegetarian 7+M) (Gluten Free 3+M) who often struggle to find dishes. While there are several sites to recommend restaurants, see menus or pictures of dishes, no service provides enough details about the dishes. TopDish’s dish-centric, data-driven approach offers a better way to match users to the right dish. Today we have 300+ beta testers and amassed over 2000 dishes. We are in early beta with our Iphone app which we hope to release in a month. We have also developed relationships with several well recognized restaurants in the Bay Area.Community:
