PUBLIC:

Watch out- little to no real value here. Partners will run to the exit when the challenges of running a business come to the fore. Sadly, some partners had difficulty putting on the company hat and playing their fiduciary role. Their China connection is over-hyped and they under-deliver.

Useless Fellows

I was referred to them by a contact. They asked me for whole lot of confidential information over a long period [weeks], then bought even more time to "review" and then after repeated follow-ups reverted with "pass", with no other comment. LBT and the dwarfs all mostly behave the same way. Fact is, they have no funds. Why not have basic courtesy to say so? Why entertain and waste time of entrepreneurs? Beats me. Their behavior says a lot about who they really are. Useless fellows.

Despite their large size this is really a Mom and Pop operation. They have had wins, no thanks to them, but they will take credit for them anyway. Will promise lots of "contacts" especially in Asia, but will deliver none. And when you make something happen on your own they will be there to claim credit. They will show up and be responsive only when the going is smooth, otherwise don't even try to get a hold of them, they will be no show.

PUBLIC:

Lip-Bu went off to become the CEO of Cadence a few months ago and by all accounts, he IS the firm. Nevertheless, the Walden web-site seems unchanged and the Walden partners are still acting like they are making investments.
