Take it from some one that has raised hundreds of millions from VC funds, I have always found it difficult enough to put the VC's and Management on the same page. Despite 5-year business plans there is no company that will grow a brand without bumps in the road. It is during these periods of 'bumps" that the real personalities of the funds and there Board representatives will come to light. I always find it amazing that funds fall in love with management and there companies and after investing it is the VC that thinks that they become the experts on how to run the company over the management teams. Quad has been tested and has been superb, they have let management do what they do best, they ask tough questions and desire drill down information, but time and time again they understand changes to plan and the pitfalls of emotional management teams. Quads personality is the same at all times, and they are a real pleasure to be part of the company with.
