Overall the experience was good. Alan Veeck was cordial and receptive. Although they passed he did have some suggestions for tightening up our presentation and has subsequently made us a referral to a local Small Business Development Group.

The MBVC team has a lot of experience building their own company (founders and early employees at FreeMarkets.com). They have been willing to get there hands as dirty as we ask them to but give us our space to run the company.

As far as pitching goes, for companies they pass on they get back to you with more than just a no but will also talk to about why they are passing. For companies they want to invest in, they will move fast.
