Helpful People

Fund: Greylock Israel

PUBLIC:

Met these guys through an intro when I wasn't pitching, but just looking to cut my teeth and hear some VCs thoughts. They were kind enough to take the time to meet up (Yoram & Arnon) and helped with advice and even some intros. Granted,

Ecouraging Conversation

Fund: Greylock Israel

PUBLIC:

While the outcome was "let's talk when you are at a later stage", I throuighly enjoyed the conversation and got valuable feedback from Moshic. Early to tell but he seems like a partner worth having.

Excellent Team

Fund: Greylock Israel

Posted by Anonymous on 2008-07-20

PUBLIC:

I have worked with the Greylock Israel team for several years by now, especially with Yoram Snir and Erez Ofer. This is one of the best VC teams in Israel. They are very professional, well-connected and provide real help, especially by opening doors to customers and domain experts. While they provide all the help and advice they can, they tend not to impose their advice on the entrepreneurs / company management - you feel like working with partners more than anything else. This is a relatively young VC in Israel, but their culture is clearly inspired by Greylock US and the support functions of both Greylock US and Greylock Israel will work hard for you. One thing to bear in mind is that they invest in people - if they don't believe that you and your team can execute or work well together with them, they will not invest in your venture regardless of how great is your technology.

Bad Pitch

Fund: Greylock Israel

Posted by Anonymous on 2008-05-31

PUBLIC:

Tried pitching to him, it took them about 5 weeks just to get back to me and setup the meeting. In the meeting Yoram was unprepared made wrong remarks about our market and what we are trying to do. I would appreciate him much better if he would say I don’t invest in markets and technologies that I am not familiar with, or even better give a no answer for the meeting request instead of wasting everybody time.

Top Notch Group

Fund: Greylock Israel

Posted by VCresource on 2007-09-06

PUBLIC:

Greylock is one of the best funds in Israel. Although Moshic may appear to be arrogant at times, they are generally a very capable group that is above the crowd. Yoram and Erez are very hard working partners and they work hard to find the right deal, invest in due diligence and support their portfolio companies. They tend to make bets that are ahead of the pack and would look outside of the box for interesting stuff. It might be difficult to get them to respond at times as they do get access to the best dealflow available but can be quite competitive at times. The way their fund is structured is that they are independent than their US affiliate so it might be difficult for them to provide the same level of support from their US partners as it percieved by their US brand but they would work hard for you.
