Life science effort has relocated to california to try to become a member of the great and the good. Weak technical skills and lousy follow thru so unlikely to get much deal flow other than sloppy seconds/thirds, etc

Easy to Work With, Know the Fed Gov't Space

Fund: Paladin Capital Group

Posted by Anonymous on 2011-07-07

PUBLIC:

We got to negotiating a deal, but due to a variety of moving parts, couldn't get to a mutually acceptable deal.

We enjoyed dealing with these guys -- for most of the VC world, "government" produces blank stares -- but they understand both the challenges of dealing with the government and can help small companies navigate the complexities of the contracting process.

Everyone we dealt with there was smart and upfront. We would welcome a deal with them in the future.

They Do Their Homework

Fund: Paladin Capital Group

PUBLIC:

Paladin contacted me, and though I usually have a "no analyst without partner" rule, I made an exception. The analysts were bright and well informed, and had done their homework in our space.

Didn't Get Funded by Them but Like Them

Fund: Paladin Capital Group

Posted by Anonymous on 2007-08-14

PUBLIC:

We pitched them and didn't get funded as we were a little too early for their fund. That said, if you are selling to the goverment these guys are someone that you want to have in your company. Liked the people and found them to be very professional as well as honest.
