Does anyone know anything about the legal threat flag here?

It says "TheFunded.com or a Member has either been threatened with legal action or had legal action taken by the following organization(s). An organization can be removed by this list by having their external counsel submit on letteread that the firm is not engaged in legal action against any portfolio CEO or TheFunded.com."

Does The Funded verify whether these flags are true? Does anyone know any more details?

As a relatively new fund, Jay and team are working hard to get into good deals. They do ask tough questions that will make you spend a cycle or two during due diligence, but they're never "throwaway" VC questions... they're always pertinent to the deal. Actually, they make you think harder about your business, which I consider a net benefit.
Zelkova is building a great reputation fast, and for good reason. They also invest nationally, so don't feel like you shouldn't pitch if you aren't in NYC.

Jay Levy and Zelkova was the co-lead on our Series A. Jay went the extra mile and was instrumental in helping us to close our round. Although Jay did not demand a board seat, he has been an active and valuable advisor to our company helping to drive our development process and offering great insight. If you are looking for an investor who will be a great partner, I highly recommend Jay Levy and Zelkova.

So, after knowing Jay for almost 2 years, we finally found an opportunity to work together, and he led our series A.

Jay Levy is our partner, and he's been eminently reasonable, focused, helpful and involved. He likes getting his hands (and mind) dirty with product development, so you should expect to make him a part of your team. But this outside insight has been more than helpful so far.

On deal terms, they were supremely easy to work with.
