I first heard Eric (Active Starts' founding partner) talk, years ago, at a venture capital seminar, and was struck by his crystal clear explanations, his no-nonsense attitude and his systematic, transparent approach to investing. We pitched him in 2005 while raising our initial seed round and, ever since, he has proven tremendously insightful and helpful, not only during the funding process but also afterwards, as lead investor and board member: he's consistently been extremely thoughtful and resourceful, a strategic thinker and a great ally.
