I've pitched to multitude of VC's over the past 8 years, and I am always very thankful when pitching to sincere, interested, and action-oriented venture teams with real operational experience.
The ATA partners were attentive and respectful in all of our meetings, while not hesitating to ask the tough, probing questions. It was very reasonable and professional. Their process is straight forward, and I was pleased with the cadence of the milestones...the time frame from initial discussions to partner meeting to signed term sheet was very reasonable.
I worked with Mike Hodges through the entire process, and he was very helpful in keeping the process and due diligence moving at a nice clip.
ATA ended up leading our Series A round, and Mike is now on our Board. He is a very helpful director, and provides me with appropriate guidance and assistance as we grow our business. Mike has extensive operating experience, and its nice to have a Board member who's been in my shoes several times before. He knows what my team and I have to deal with, and he's got a great practical sense of business operations.
All in all, Mike and the ATA team are very supportive and helpful, and I couldn't ask for a better relationship.
